Editorial Standards

Every stadium guide on MeetStadium follows the same research and editorial process. Here's how we work.

Last revised: April 24, 2026

How We Research

Every stadium page starts with primary sources: official venue websites, team operations pages, transit authority schedules, and municipal planning documents. We cross-reference capacity figures, construction dates, and event histories against multiple sources before publishing.

For transit directions, we verify routes using official transit authority websites (NJ Transit, CTA, Metro, SacRT, PSTA, and equivalents for each city). Parking prices, lot locations, and rideshare zones are sourced from venue operators and updated when we identify changes.

Historical information draws from a combination of official team archives, local news reporting, and reference works. Where figures are disputed or have changed over time, we note the discrepancy.

Our Sources

We rely on these categories of sources, in order of priority:

  1. Official venue and team websites — capacity, operations, parking, transit
  2. Transit authority sites — routes, schedules, fares, station locations
  3. FIFA and league sources — match assignments, event details, venue requirements
  4. Local and national news reporting — construction updates, renovations, name changes
  5. Wikipedia and reference databases — historical data, cross-referencing disputed figures
  6. Wikimedia Commons — all stadium photography used under free licenses with attribution

Journal articles include a Sources section at the bottom with links to primary references. Stadium pages cite data inline where the source adds context.

AI Assistance

MeetStadium uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and code generation. Every fact published on this site is verified by a human editor against primary sources before publication. AI-generated content is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked — it is never published verbatim without verification.

We believe in transparency about this process. AI helps us research faster and cover more venues, but the editorial judgment, source verification, and final decisions are human.

Accuracy & Updates

Stadiums change constantly — naming rights deals, renovations, transit route adjustments, capacity reconfigurations. We review and update stadium pages on a rolling basis, prioritizing venues with upcoming major events.

Each stadium page includes a Last Updated date in the frontmatter. Journal articles display their update date when the content has been revised after initial publication.

Corrections Policy

We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error — wrong capacity, outdated transit route, incorrect date, broken link, or anything else — we want to know immediately.

To report a correction:

Corrections are reviewed and applied as quickly as possible. Significant factual corrections to journal articles are noted with an updated publication date.

Photography & Images

Stadium hero images and gallery photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under free licenses (Creative Commons or public domain). Images are converted to WebP format and resized for performance.

If you're a photographer and your image appears on MeetStadium without proper attribution, or you'd like it removed, please contact us and we'll address it promptly.

Who We Are

MeetStadium is founded and edited by Alan M. Fleming, a lifelong sports fan building the stadium guide that fans actually deserve. Every page is personally reviewed before publication.
